Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: Ukrainian authorities should stop shamming, then our chemical industry will have certain prospects.
On Friday, 29 May 2009, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, took part in the celebration of the Day of Workers of Chemical Industry held by "Sumykhimprom" OJSC.
According to the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, "Ukrainian State should secure support and development of those industries on which the positive dynamics of our economic depends".
In this context, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine mentioned the Law "On Support of Chemical Industry" vetoed by the President of Ukraine after its adoption.
Moreover, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine commented upon the matter concerning compensation of the VAT to the "Sumykhimprom" OJSC.
V.Lytvyn also commented upon the intentions of the Cabinet of Ministers to reform the chemical enterprise, and stated: "Similar actions should not conceal the attempts to settle the personnel issues. I am convinced that it is in the competence of the personnel of the said enterprise".
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also informed the journalists that "he will decide on his participation in the presidential elections after the Parliament sets the official date".
On the eve of the Day of Workers of Chemical Industry, V.Lytvyn awarded the personnel of the "Sumykhimprom" OJSC with the Diplomas of Honour of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
