Mykola Tomenko: Ethnical Festivals attract Attention to the most Popular Monuments of Ukrainian History and Culture in the Light of their Folk Traditions
Today Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stays with a working visit in Sumy region. He plans to visit the students and the faculty of Hlukhiv Pedagogical University and participate in the festival "EthnoSpring in Hetman´s Capital" scheduled for today in Hlukhiv.
As initiator of the festival, M.Tomenko stated that ethnical festivals aimed at promotion of national traditions and willingness to attract the attention of mass media and citizens to the most popular monuments of Ukrainian history and culture in the light of their folkl traditions.
According to M.Tomenko, this years´ choice of Hlukhiv as the host of a festival is due to the fact that it is one of the oldest towns of Ukraine represented by prominent figures of history and culture.
