Mykola Tomenko: Kyiv has to obtain a Real and Responsible, not Virtual, System of Authorities
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appeared live on the radio "Era-FM" and stated: "It is necessary to restore the status of Kyiv as the city with efficient and responsible system of administration".
M.Tomenko answered the question of the journalist concerning the report of mayor Leonid Chernovetsky on his activity and prospects of the capital scheduled for today. M.Tomenko considers the said report as "a historical event", as "Leonid Chernovetsky has not been seen for a long time, and his current place of stay remains unknown".
"Such "virtual" authorities are a great trouble for the city, and we can´t do anything about it. Kyiv is the only city in the world without a mayor, where nobody bears responsibility for the situation that becomes worse and worse", - stated the Vice-Chairman.
M.Tomenko also stressed that the Parliament would have to respond to the situation in the capital, if the mayor´s report concerning his activity and prospects of the city were not presented today at the session of Kyiv City Council.
