Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed Confidence in the Necessity of Diminution of the Election Campaign Term because of the complicated Economic Situation to 70-90 days instead of 120.

Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the 13th of May 2009 answering of the journalist questions in the course of the working visit to the Russian Federation (Saint-Petersburg City) stressed that the resolution of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine concerning the President´s Elections on the 25th of October of the current year is final and is not to be commented but it is to be implemented.

V. Lytvyn is glad that the position of the constitutional court coincided with his own. "I was claiming and claim now that the resolution of the Parliament concerning the President´s Elections on the 25th of October of the current year is totally political and illegitimate". In such a way, according to him "it was an attempt to draw nearer the elections in order to preserve the chances of those who have the highest ratings for today". Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt the resolution concerning holding of the President´s Elections on the 17th of January 2010. He also expressed worry concerning the cessation f the Parliament work. "Stop in the work of the Verkhovna Rada may cause that the date of the elections would not be determined. The question arises, who has the profit of it?"

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that "Deputies should appreciate their responsibility it can be said even mission". "Ukraine should not be separated between several clans that have personal interest in disorganizing of the life in the country".
