The Law (Reg.№4375) envisages the new wording of the article 17 f the current Law without the indication of the term during which the Member of the Supreme Justice Council before entering the post take oath during the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The content of the oath is the following: "Swear to implement the duties of the member of the Supreme Justice Council conscientiously, honestly and unprejudiced with the aim of formation of the judges´ corpus from the number of honest, professional jurists and abidance of law and ethics in the judges and prosecutors activity".
The Committee deems the Law adoption would facilitate the organization of the procedures of Supreme Justice Council formation and facilitate the functioning of this body.
