The Law determines the legal basis for the regulation of mining and use of methane of coal sources of Ukraine. It consists in particular of propositions regarding the defining of the main principles of the state policy in the sphere, stimulation of the market participants that work in the sphere and demands concerning the licensing, standardization, norms in the sphere of gas mining activity.
The authority of the law is spread on the relations in the sphere connected with the melioration of the labor conditions of the miners, geologic investigation etc.
The main directions for the development of the sphere is use of methane of coal deposits according to the law is the implementation of it as a material or/and energetic recourse.
The corresponding law is registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under №1123.
