Mykola Tomenko: It is not of Vital Importance, who would occupy the Post of the President as in what Way someone elects the President and how to restrict the President
"The order of the President elections is the most important issue for the Ukrainian people", M. Tomenko, the vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced.
"Broadening of narrowing of the President´s authority as well as Governmental and Parliamentary one; this or that status of juridical system; broadening of the local self government power are the issues for the constructive discussion", - M. Tomenko declared.
He announced that "even the President´s idea concerning the two-chamber parliament citizen negativism notwithstanding (approximately 50% against), it finds its backers (18%)"
"If paraphrase the common political axioms it will sound approximately following: it is not of vital importance, who would occupy the post of the President as in what way someone elects the President and how to restrict the President", - Vice-Chairman stressed.
According to M. Tomenko, the President might be elected by the Parliament only due to the high political tolerance and consensus.
"Hypothetically if the absolute majority of the political players uphold the parliamentary way of the President´s electing and "begs" Ukrainian society during the fighting against crisis transfer the elections to the parliament, such a change might be hypothetically imagined".
