Volodymyr Lytvyn rejects the President´s Accusation of a Political Corruption at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, rejects the President´s accusation of a political corruption at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"The President of Ukraine should not be guided by the principle of interception of initiative in the search of enemy. One should not look for corruption at the Parliament, one should search for it in other places. Ukrainian presidents should give up a bad habit to look for an enemy in other institutes of authority", - stated V.Lytvyn at the press conference in Kirovohrad.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine commented upon the President´s statement concerning actual absence of coalition at the Parliament, and stressed that "only Constitutional Court can and has to appraise the said issue".
Answering the question concerning reformatting of the coalition, V.Lytvyn stated that "he was not concerned with the participants of negotiations". "Current political turmoil is an attempt to withdraw attention of Ukrainian society and mass media, so that not to respond to critical issues what is happening in the country and who bears responsibility for that", - he stated.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine suggests introducing "certain amendments to the Constitution appertaining to the authorities of the President and the Prime-Minister". He deems necessary to improve the effective Constitution.
