Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems Ukrainian and Russian Relations should be based on Cooperation in the Field of Economics and Military-Industrial Complex
Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday, 24th of April declared that relations between Ukraine and Russia are formal and stressed that lack of the practical actions.
V. Lytvyn also deems good relations with Russia should be discussed by the politicians not only when they are in power. "When they receive authority they enter NATO immediately. One should not swear in eternal friendship with Russia but consider the common, bilateral interests".
According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine if the interests of two countries do not coincide, the issues should be scrutinized. Forecasting the "normal" relations with Russia, the Chairman stressed that it should be treated like a business partnership and not relations as if between small children. Still, the priorities in cooperation should be field of economics and military-industrial complex.
