The Conference was organized by the Committee on European Integration jointly with the Ukrainian-European Consultative Center on Legislation and the Institute of Legislation of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with assistance of the Tacis Project "Accession to/and Implementation of International Agreements and Conventions in the Field of Transport in Ukraine".
The People´s Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of executive authorities, experts of negotiations from new EU member-countries attended the conference.
The participants of the conference discussed the issue concerning creation of a free trade zone as a stage of economic integration on the grounds of European experience. Thus, a comparative analysis of the Agreement on Association as the EU Plan concerning State administration and policy for partner countries was made. The participants also discussed a parliament´s role in the process of implementation of the Agreement on Association by the example of new EU member-countries.
The attendants of the Conference dwelled upon the expected outcome of the upcoming Agreement on Association (and its crucial element an extended free trade zone) for Ukraine in the sectors of domestic market, energy, environment, transport policy and agriculture (food safety).
