Pursuant to the Draft Resolution (Reg. No. 3445), the 355th anniversary of foundation of Kharkiv is to be celebrated on 21 and 22 August 2009.
The People´s Deputies deem reasonable to combine celebration of the 355th anniversary of foundation of Kharkiv with the holding of the EURO-2012, as the city is actively preparing for it.
However, implementation of the Draft Resolution requires expenditures from the State budget which is unreasonable under the conditions of financial crisis. Therefore, the Committee members recommend that all regulations appertaining to the funding at the expense of the State budge be excluded from the Draft Resolution.
The Committee resolved to return the Draft Resolution to the subject of legislative initiative for further drafting.
