The People´s Deputies took into account the Report of the Head of the Security Service concerning Conditions of Operation and Personnel Provision of the Security Service of Ukraine, and Administration of its Property.
The document recommends that the Head of the Security Service takes the following measures:
takes immediate actions to secure activity of the Security Service of Ukraine in compliance with the Constitution and Ukrainian Laws;
provides a legal evaluation of the facts of violations of Ukrainian Laws by the Security Service of Ukraine and institutes relevant proceedings against the persons at fault;
takes immediate measures to secure total depoliticization of the Security Service of Ukraine;
Pursuant to the Bill, General Prosecution has to take measures aimed at enhancement of prosecutor´s supervision over the observance of legitimacy in the activity of the Security Service.
In July 2009, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will listen to the report of the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine concerning implementation of the said resolution.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also passed the Resolution "On setting up a Temporary Ad Hoc Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in charge of Reforming of the Security Service of Ukraine and its Legislative Support".
