The legislative act supplements the Law "On Electric-Power Industry" with a new Article 30 that regulates peculiarities of the electric power export.
Pursuant to the Law, "in order to export electric power, energy suppliers purchase the necessary amount at the wholesale market of electric power in Ukraine at the wholesale market price. The access to the transmission capacity of international power networks of Ukraine for the export of electric power is granted on conditions of an auction. The participants of the auction shall be the subjects of electric-power industry licensed to perform economic activity on electric power supply, members of the wholesale market of electric power of Ukraine without the arrears in payments for electricity purchased at the wholesale market of electric power of Ukraine.
