The Bill (Reg. No.3123) regulates the procedure and rules of border control over the persons, vehicles and cargoes crossing the State border.
Pursuant to the Bill, "border control is a type of State control in the entrance posts at the State border and one of the forms of operating activity of the State Border Service of Ukraine". Border control is exerted in order to prevent illegal migration, human trafficking, illegal transportation of weapon, drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, armament and explosives forbidden for transportation across the State border.
