Mykola Tomenko: Participants of the External Independent Testing will receive Passports on Time
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is convinced that the situation concerning delay in the issuance of passports will be settled, and the school-leavers participants of the external independent testing will be the first to receive the passports.
As it was reported earlier, a critical situation concerning issuance of passports to the graduates of the secondary education establishments originated in January. The delay in the issuance of passports threatens normal holding of external independent testing of educational achievements.
In view of the importance of the matter, M.Tomenko addressed the Government with a request to give relevant commissions concerning timely issuance of passports to the graduates of the secondary education establishments, so that they would have a possibility to participate in the external independent testing.
In the beginning of January, public enterprise "Polihrafkombinat "Ukraina" started manufacture of 300 thousand forms of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. As of 10 February 2009, the forms have been manufactured and shipped in a full amount. The issue concerning supply of territorial subdivisions of the natural persons registration with necessary forms is under the permanent supervision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
