The Committee on Judicial Policy recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to Article 245 of the Civil Code of Ukraine (re Authorities of the Officials of the Local Self-Government Bodies concerning Committal of Actions equivalent to Notarial)

The Bill (Reg. No.3587) entitles the authorized officials of the local self-government bodies to certify power of attorney in the settlements without notaries public.

The Committee members believe that "adoption of the Bill will raise the level of citizens´ access to the notarial services".
