Mykola Tomenko: Organizations whose activity is connected with physical culture and sports will be exempt from the land tax.
On 15 January 2009, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine "On Payment for Land" (re Sports Buildings of the Physical Culture and Sports Establishments, Bases of Olympic and Paralympic Training).
Mykola Tomenko stated that 392 People´s Deputies upheld the Bill, pursuant to which, enterprises, organizations, public associations with activity related to the physical culture and sports, including flying and sports-aviation clubs of the Defence Facilitation Association of Ukraine, were exempt from land tax for the land plots in their ownership, provided sports edifices used for holding national, international contests and training of Ukrainian teams were located there.
