The Chairmen of the Regional Councils initiate the Formation of the Association of the Local Councils under the Authority of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, V. Lytvyn has held the Meeting on Wednesday with the Chairmen of Chernihiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv and Kharkiv Regional Councils at their Request.

The Participants of the Meeting have initiated the Formation of the Association of the Local Councils under the Authority of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine that would develop "effective cooperation between central and regional power bodies", would work in the sphere of the regional policy development.
