The Bill (Reg. No. 2441) defines the principles of establishment and activity of the Cossack organizations and their associations, basic principles of cooperation with the public authority and local self-government bodies.
The Committee members expressed a number of remarks concerning the Bill. Thus, certain regulations of the Bill fail to comply with the Constitution of Ukraine and duplicate regulations of the Law "On Public Associations".
Moreover, regulations of Article 16 of the Bill are to be coordinated with the Law "On Participation of Citizens in the Protection of Public Order and State Border" concerning social protection of members of Cossack public association who will participate in the protection of public order and State border.
