Mykola Tomenko: Increase of Local Duties and Taxes in Possible only with the Consent of the Representatives of Small and Middle-Sized Business

 

Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, guarantees that increase of local duties and taxes for representatives of small and middle-sized business will not take place.

 

He declared the above-mentioned at the Parliament after the meeting on behalf of The Verkhovna Rada with the representatives of employers´ and trade unions associations, small and middle-sized business, other public institutions and workers of trade who remonstrated against the Bill "On Local Duties and Taxes" submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers and adopted at the First Reading.   

 

Mykola Tomenko reported on the meeting with the representatives of Factions and profile Committees regarding the matter in question. Thus, the participants of the meeting agreed that on Tuesday, the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy would hold public hearings concerning the said Bill.

 

"Managers of national organizations concerned with the problems of entrepreneurs, small and middle-sized business, employers are invited to attend the hearings, so that to have the opportunity of direct influence upon the voting for the Bill at the Parliament", - stated Mykola Tomenko.

 

He confirmed that the Government was ready to withdraw the regulations of the Law appertaining to the increase of customs duty on trade and other local taxes that provoked entrepreneurs´ remonstration.
