The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn deems that the situation concerning natural gas industry in Ukraine needs immediate decisions.
During the live transmission on the radio "Moscow Echo", V. Lytvyn characterized situation in the Ukrainian and Russian relations in gas sphere: "Situation is stable in its difficulty and needs immediate solving"
"We should try our best lest natural gas should become like political goods", - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.
V. Lytvyn declared that "Under the conditions of the present complicated situation, Russia should show magnanimity". He also stressed that "It is obvious that in order to be on equal terms there should be no debts".
According the problem with the Black Sea Fleet of Russian Federation, V. Lytvyn declared that he adhered to the simplified approach to the issue.
He reminded the Principles of Budapest Memorandum that the countries owners of the nuclear weapons signed. V. Lytvyn deems that the document should be of "compulsory character" and ratified by the Parliaments. "Ukraine should be out-of-blocs, neutral country and act the role of the moderator on the post-Soviet territory", - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed.
As it was earlier announced, V. Lytvyn will stay from 28 till 29 December with the working visit in Russian Federation.
