The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine due to Adoption of the Law "On the State System of Biological Safety by Creation, Probation, Transportation and Use of Genetically Modified Organisms"

The Bill (Reg. No.2436) specifies the competence of the specially authorized public administration bodies in charge of protection of the environment and use of natural resources concerning biological and genetic safety.

The Bill introduces relevant amendments to the Laws "On Protection of the Environment", "On Ecological Examination", "On Flora", "On Fauna", and "On Licensing of certain Types of Economic Activity".
