The legislative act supplements the effective Law "On the Customs Tariff of Ukraine" with a regulation "concerning a temporary extra charge to the current rates of import duty on certain goods, which can be applied in case of a critical condition of the external balance of Ukraine".
Pursuant to the Law, "in case the external balance of Ukraine reaches a critical condition, the procedure of introduction, alteration and cancellation of a temporary extra charge to the current rates of import duty on certain goods is applied as an exception".
Pursuant to the Law, "the list of goods on which a temporary extra charge to the current rates of import duty is established, the rate of charge, alteration of the said list and the rate of a temporary extra charge is defined by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the grounds of a submission of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".
A relevant Bill was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Reg. No.3379.
