On Thursday, Viktor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, met Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The interlocutors discussed social and economic situation in the country. Thus, the President of Ukraine expressed his opinion concerning current social and economic processes in the country. The Head of State has positively accepted unblocking of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as at present the resolutions aimed at stabilization of financial and economic situation are necessary.
According to V.Yushchenko, it is highly important to adopt a package of anti-recessionary Bills that should lay the grounds for the State Budget-2009.
On his part, V.Lytvyn stated that Ukrainian society would face even greater challenges, unless all the branches of authority cooperated. He supposes that unblocking of the Parliament should be considered as "a start of the dialogue which should be resumed despite all discrepancies and conflicts that divided political forces, separate politicians and authority representatives".
V.Lytvyn deems necessary to consolidate activity of the economic bloc of the Government in order to bring forward the anti-recessionary Bills appertaining to all aspects of the social life.
"These documents should reveal a systemic approach that will regulate the situation in the financial system, economy and social sector", - stated V.Lytvyn.
