According to the Bill (Reg.№3079) it is suggested that from the 1st of January 2009 the obligation for the foreigners and people without citizenship to submit their biometric data during the registration of the entrance visa in diplomatic representatives and consulates of Ukraine abroad.
The biometric data should be also submitted during the crossing of the state boarder. The determining of the stated documents and the order of their submission are proposed to be given to the authority of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The basic legislative acts of European and European Council that regulate the matters of biometrical data submission are: European Council of European Union Resolution from 8th of June 2004 regarding the system of visas information; the European Commission Resolution №2006/648 from 22nd of September 2006 regarding the technical characteristics of biometrical data etc.
The members of Committee stressed that the bill does not contradict the Law of European Union and Duties of Ukraine in European Council.
