The Bill (Reg. No.3430) is aimed at "promotion of development of the national industry; renewal of production by purchase of fixed assets; creation of conditions in the processing industries for overcoming of recessionary processes; prevention of curtailment of investments, reduction of production and growth of unemployment".
Pursuant to the Bill, equipment and complete articles that are not produced in Ukraine and are imported by processing enterprises are exempt from import duty.
The Bill also extends validity of the Law "On the Development of Automobile Production in Ukraine" till 31 December 2013, and "treats manufacture of automobiles, equipment and complete articles; development and implementation of innovative technologies for assembly and production of automobiles as strategic areas of innovation activity".
