The Committee members discussed the citizens´ rights for access to the higher education, and creation of proper conditions for education of pupils in 2008-2009 academic year.
The said issues were discussed in compliance with Article 14 of the Law "On the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" regarding fulfillment of their supervisory functions.
The People´s Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of Ministries and departments took part in the discussion.
Thus, the Committee studied "The Official Report of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine concerning Holding of External Independent Knowledge Assessment of School-Leavers in Year 2008".
The Committee members recommend that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine takes into account non-fulfillment of the above-mentioned guidelines and takes immediate measures to provide legislative regulation of the external independent knowledge assessment in 2009.
