Olexandr Lavrynovych, First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, forwarded a letter to Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime-Minister of Ukraine, with a request to settle the issues connected with the belated start of the heating season in the majority of settlements of Ukraine.
An appeal of the Association of Ukrainian Cities and communities, and a relevant letter of the Intersectoral association "Ukrteploenerho" are attached to the letter.
In the letter, O.Lavrynovych stresses the necessity to liquidate arrears of wages of the employees of housing and communal services enterprises.
The First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed the Head of the Government with a request "to submit coordinated motions elaborated due to the results of scrutiny of documents indicated in the letter in order to regulate these issues legislatively by means of amending the Budget Code of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2008, and Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine", "On Housing and Communal Services", "On Heat Supply" and other normative and legal acts".
