The participants of the round table discussion dwelled upon the issues concerning legislative, normative and legal support of the development of higher agrarian education. Thus, they discussed motions related to the draft new versions of the Laws "On Higher Education" and "On Scientific, Scientific and Technical Activity"; development of scientific and innovative component in the activity of higher education establishments of agrarian orientation; formation of governmental order for training of personnel of higher qualification.
Volodymyr Polokhalo, Committee Chairman, stressed that "the present-day system of agrarian education functions under the difficult conditions of lack of material and technical, financial, informational and personnel support, and is in need of complex reforms".
The participants of the round table discussion deem necessary to elaborate short-term and intermediate-term forecasts concerning need in skilled personnel at the branch, regional and professional levels.
