The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko, has held the Meeting with the Chairman of Parliament of Moldova Republic, Marian Lupu
In the course of the working visit of the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko to Republic of Moldova the meeting with the Chairman of Moldavian Parliament, Marian Lupu was held, during which the intensification of interparliamentary relations between Ukraine and Moldova was discussed.
In particular, it was declared that by the participants of the meeting that from year 2006 the intensity of the following interparliamentary connections has decreased considerably, correspondingly, the agreement on the importance of the interparliamentary groups visits to Ukraine and Moldova during November-December 2008.
Mykola Tomenko and Marian Lupu have discussed the political situation and electoral laws of the both countries. They also stressed the importance of the strengthening of the cooperation in the spheres of education, science, culture and tourism and the increase in number of the frontier crossings between Ukraine and Moldova.
Moreover, Mykola Tomenko has visited the Ukrainian school №8 in Chisinau and has communicated with the Ukrainian stuff and the active of Ukrainian society in Moldova. As it is known, in 58 schools of Moldova, the education is conducted the courses in Ukrainian Language and Literature.
