In the opinion of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatseniuk, the main priorities of the Relations between Ukraine and Georgia for today are "help Georgia to overcome the economic collapse and after the stabilization of the economic situation help its Democratic Development".
A. Yatseniuk announced the following priorities while the meeting with the Ex-Speaker of the Georgia Government Nino Burdzhanadze, that was held on Friday in the course of the Meeting of "Diplomatic Club" of the Fund "Open Ukraine", founded by A. Yatseniuk.
At the beginning of the meeting he stressed that the "subject of the meeting is wide, from the world situation to the situation in Ukraine and Georgia".
"It is not possible not to point the attention on the military conflict in Caucasus" A. Yatseniuk declared. "There are neither right no guilty but the worst is that we and the world first of all failed to prevent it the development of the military conflict", - he stressed.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considers, that the situation in Georgia "proved to the whole world the ineffectiveness of the international instruments and mechanisms that should not let the military conflicts at any rate". The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed regret of the fact that in case of the involving of one of the constant members of The United Nations Security Council in the military conflict or if the member supports on of the parties, the decision of the UNSC is totally ineffective".
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed the thought that it is necessary for the international organizations to work out the mechanisms and instruments for the conflicts settlements through the diplomatic way
N. Burdzhanadze touched upon the issue of the future world order "will it be based on the power of law and right or on the domination of power", - she declared. "If one power is implied there always another one will be found, sooner or later, that will have more power than the present one",- the Ex-Speaker of Georgia emphasized.
She stressed that the norms of the sovereignty guaranty and the territorial unity pertain not only the small states. "All the countries need these norms and big countries are not an exception", N. Burdzhanadze stressed. She declared that "separatism is evil that is impended not only over Georgia but also over other countries".
The solution, in her opinion, is in the finding of "the right balance", and "it is respect to the mutual interests only", - N. Burdzhanadze emphasized.
