The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Television and Radio Broadcasting" as regards Elimination of Discrepancies between the Law "On Cinematography" and the Law "On Television and Radio Broadcasting"

According to the resolution of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine of 20 December 2007, the Bill (Reg. No.2692) introduces relevant editorial amendments to the Law "On Television and Radio Broadcasting", coordinating it with the Law "On Cinematography" in the part of dubbing, postscoring or subtitling of films and programs in the State language in case Ukrainian is not the source language.

The Committee believes that adoption of the Bill will facilitate improvement of legal mechanism in the field of broadcasting of foreign films and programs by the television and radio broadcasting organizations at the territory of Ukraine.
