On 12 December 2006, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the following Bills: "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts regarding Liability for Corruption Violations" (Reg. No. 0875), "On Principles of preventing and fighting Corruption" (Reg. No.0876), "On Amenability of Legal Entities for Corruption Violations" (Reg. No.0877) at the First Reading. The Committee had to secure further elaboration of the Bills for the Second Reading.
The Working Group scrutinized 579 motions received from the subjects of legislative initiative. The biggest number of motions appertain to the principles of preventing and fighting corruption.
The Committee recommends that the Working Group continues its work over the said Bills, taking all motions and remarks into consideration.
