The Committee on Culture and Spirituality recommends that the Parliament rejects the Draft Resolution "On Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Foundation of Ukrainian Association "Znannia"

The Draft Resolution (Reg. No.2366) envisages official celebration of the 60^th anniversary of foundation of the Ukrainian Association "Znannia".

The People´s Deputies stated that national celebration of main anniversaries in Year 2008 is regulated by the Resolution "On Celebration of Memorable Dates and Anniversaries in Year 2008" of 10 April 2008 elaborated by the Committee and adopted by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Committee members deem unreasonable to supplement the list of dates and anniversaries with the said Bill.
