The Committee on Foreign Affairs recommends that the Parliament ratifies the Convention between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Icelandic Republic regarding Prevention of Double Taxation, Income and Capital Tax Evasion, and the Protocol to the Convention

The Bill (Reg. No. 0049) ratifies the Convention that aims at prevention of double taxation and tax evasion, elimination of tax obstacles to the foreign investments and trade between the two countries. Ratification of the Convention is of vital importance for Ukraine, as effective tax legislation envisages prevention of double taxation only on the grounds of bilateral international agreements.

Ratification of the Convention aimed at prevention of tax evasion will create favourable conditions for promotion of Ukrainian-Icelandic economic relations.
