The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster recommends that the Parliament forwards for further Elaboration the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On a Ban on Import and Sale of Ethylized Gasoline and Lead Additives to Gasoline in Ukraine" (re Aviation Fuel)

cc The Bill (Reg. No. 2144) lifts restrictions on import and sale of aviation ethylized gasoline AVGAS 100LL at the territory of Ukraine.

According to the Committee members, effective Law prohibits the use of fuel with high concentration of chemical compositions harmful for public health and the environment.

The People´s Deputies deem necessary to offer legislative regulation of the said situation, and permit sale of pollution-free types of fuel at the national market.

The People´s Deputies expressed a number of remarks concerning correspondence of the quality of the aviation fuel AVGAS 100LL to the environmental requirements of the EU and international documents aimed at reduction of the volume of heavy metal emission.
