The Bill (Reg. No.2273) creates legislative basis of state regulation of social relations between a person, the State and the society under conditions of efficient protection of civil rights in the field of personal data.
Thus the Bill defines the rights, safeguards and obligations of all subjects of activity relayed to the protection of personal data. The Bill also establishes the procedure for storage of personal data, defines the requirements for its processing, use, distribution etc., with due account taken of the experience of the European countries.
Adoption of the Bill will promote mutually beneficial international cooperation, facilitate development of information resources, enhance private property and information products, secure information sovereignty, economic welfare and national security, extend the opportunities for fighting computer criminality.
