The Republic of Turkey offers visa-free regime for Ukraine.

Koksal Toptan, Speaker of Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, presented the said proposal at the bilateral meeting with Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He is convinced that changes in the visa-regime will extend the volume of investments in Ukraine, and increase the number of Turkish tourists willing to visit Ukraine.

Koksal Toptan stated that only for the last year, the volume of investments from Turkey to Ukraine totaled $1 billion. The said rate can substantially increase, provided the visa regime is cancelled.

According to the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, consideration of the visa issue would not be possible, unless the Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey on Readmission was ratified.

"On ratification of the Agreement on Readmission, the negotiations will intensify. Last month the Ukrainian Party forwarded the Draft Agreement on Simplified Visa Regime to the Turkish authorities. I hope we will conclude an agreement on simplified visa regime within half a year, after the relevant negotiations are conducted", - stated Arseniy Yatseniuk.
