The Committee on Social Policy and Labour recommends that the Parliament rejects the Bill on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine as regards granting Leaves to the Foster Parents

The Bill (Reg. No.2418) introduces amendments to the Family Code of Ukraine, the Labour Laws Code of Ukraine, and the Law "On Leaves". Pursuant to the Bill, one of the parents who adopted a child of more than six years of age is granted an extra leave for child´s adaptation in the family.

The said amendments extend social and labour safeguards of the persons who adopted orphans and children deprived of parental care.

However, the Committee stated that the authors failed to submit the motions concerning expenditures to be curtailed, and regarding extra sources for increased expenditures.
