The Bill (Reg. No. 1154) aims at enhancement of legislative basis required for realizing the actions on preservation and reproduction of hunting animals, observance of established terms, hunting procedure, and enhanced efficiency of fighting poaching.
The Bill envisages amendments to the Laws "On Hunting Sector and Hunting", "On the Fauna"; to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Inter alia, it is proposed to increase the rate of penalty for violating the hunting rules. The authorized executive body in the hunting sector is to be empowered to impose restrictions on use of State hunting fund, due to the current legislation, adopt normative acts concerning keeping hunting sector and hunting, hounds breeding, use of hunting animals and birds.
The said Law will extend to 900 users of shooting preserves and 500 thousand hunters. The amount of budget revenue is expected to increase for 10-15% due to enhanced income from penalties and hunting sector keeping.
