The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations upholds the Bills on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Enhancement of Liability for arousing Political, Ideological, Racial, National or Religious Hostility

The Bills (Reg. No.No.2281, 2281-1) introduce amendments to the Criminal Code and the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, which establish criminal and administrative liability for violations related to performance of xenophobic, anti-Semitic actions and propaganda, and manifestation of religious and national intolerance.

The People´s Deputies believe that enhancement of criminal and administrative liability for crimes committed due racial, national and religious intolerance, violation of equal rights of citizens irregardless of their race or nation meets the modern challenges and complies with the Constitution of Ukraine.
