The Bill (Reg. No.1327) envisages establishment of the State Migration Service - a special authorized central executive body in charge of migration. Pursuant to the Bill, activity of the Service will be determined and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Pursuant to the Bill, the State Migration Service will be in charge of implementation of State policy in the field of migration and citizenship; securing realization of legislative acts on migration and citizenship; administration in the field of migration and citizenship; migration control; registration of individuals and issue of their passports.
Establishment of a special authorized central executive body in charge of migration will coordinate and centralize the State migration policy.
The attendants of the meeting also stated that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs upholds the idea of establishing a single migration body for efficient implementation of migration policy.
