О.Bоdnar has informed meeting participants about Cоmmittee´s activity during the period from November 2007 till May 2008. Particularly, 22 meetings have been held, during which 147 matters were considered. 21 bills had been prepared for parliaments´ first reading, 3 bills for second reading, 2 Laws prepared by the Committee for consideration had been passed.
In conclusion of the meeting, O. Bodnar has particularly stressed that there had come a time when thorough amendments to the Law "On Citizens´ Appeals" should be made in order to guarantee citizens´ rights for appeals. People´s Deputy has also invited meeting participants to submit proposals to the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Local Self-Governments", which should considerably improve work with citizens´ appeals.
