Taking part in the Meeting were People's Deputies, Committee Members; Mykhailo Pozhyvanov, Head of The State Committee of Ukraine for Public Material Reserve; and Managers of Ukrainian Commodity Exchanges.
Serhiy Teriokhin, Committee Chairman, emphasized that The State Committee for Public Material Reserve should carry out the price stabilisation function on behalf of the State. In his opinion, The Agrarian Fund of Ukraine, together with The Agrarian Exchange, perform their function of intervention in the agrarian market in a very poor manner. As regards the land market, S. Teriokhin is convinced that a State programme should be elaborated on, allowing the sale of land in a transparent exchange market.
Those present at the Meeting resolved to draft the relevant legal enactments so that the matters outlined could be put into practice.
