News 2 - The Committee on National Security and Defence recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine (re Specification of Tasks of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) at the Second Reading and in its Entirety - Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Committee on National Security and Defence recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine (re Specification of Tasks of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) at the Second Reading and in its Entirety

The Bill (Reg. No.0932) offers legislative specification of tasks of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Bill also establishes a new administration body under the General Headquarters the United Operational Command that will include representatives of the Armed Forces and will manage the activity of the Armed Forces.

Anatoliy Hrytsenko, Committee Chairman, stated that the Bill delimits authorities regarding management of forces, organization of territorial defence and administrative tasks.
