On Tuesday, Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, gave testimonies in the criminal case, instituted by Kyiv Prosecution against Yuriy Lutsenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, on the basis of crime, envisaged by Part 2 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
A.Yatseniuk received the official invitation from the prosecution to give testimonies in the said case as a witness of the incident that occurred after the end of the meeting of The National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine on 18 January 2008.
Thus, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine carried out his obligations as a witness due to the requirements of the procedural criminal legislation.
