Presenting the Bill (Reg. No. 1154), its author Mykola Shershun, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine, stated that the introduced amendments aim at enhancement of legislative basis required for realization of actions regarding protection and reproduction of hunting animals, adherence to the established hunting procedure, enhancement of efficiency of fighting poaching.
The Bill establishes enhanced liability of users of hunting grounds for the state of hunting economy, and increased rate of penalties for violation of hunting rules. The Bill also empowers the specially authorized executive body in the field of hunting economy and hunting to impose restrictions on using public hunting resources, adoption of normative acts appertaining to management of hunting economy an hunting, hunting dog breeding, use of hunting animals and birds, etc.
The Committee members uphold adoption of the Bill, since it will create conditions necessary for effective management of hunting economy of Ukraine.
