Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.2454), import, sale and use of used clothing and other articles is subject to licensing.
The Committee members stated that adoption of the said Bill will "regulate import and sale of used clothing and other articles in Ukraine; protect domestic producers; create due conditions for steady development of light industry enterprises at full industrial capacities".
However, the Committee members stated that import of clothing and other articles to the customs territory of Ukraine is regulated by the Law "On Foreign Economic Activity". Therefore, the amendments should be introduced to the said Law, and not to the Law "On Licensing certain Types of Economic Activity".
