The Committee members listened to the report of Borys Tarasiuk, the Committee Chairman, on the Draft Resolution "On Several Issues concerning Adoption of Resolutions regarding Ukraine´s Accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)" (Reg. No. 1402-2).
The People´s Deputies stated that the Committee already considered a number of resolutions and recommended to submit the Draft Resolution "On Several Issues concerning Adoption of Resolutions regarding Ukraine´s Accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)" (Reg. No. 1402-1) for parliamentary consideration and further adoption in entirety. The People´s Deputies believe that the Draft Resolution №1402-2 limits possible ways to settle the said issue, and makes possible the political jobbery.
The Committee passed a resolution to recommend that The Verkhovna Rada rejects the Draft Resolution "On Several Issues concerning Adoption of Resolutions regarding Ukraine´s Accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)" (Reg. No. 1042-2).
Discussing the Draft Resolution on defining type and method of voting whilst considering the Draft Resolution №1386д "On upholding an Appeal of V.Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine, Yu.Tymoshenko, the Prime-Minister of Ukraine, A.Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada, to the NATO Secretary General as regards Ukraine´s Preparedness to joining the NATO Membership Action Plan" (Reg.No. 1386-П), the Committee members stated that the said Draft Resolution was submitted to exclude voting on this issue at the session hall.
The Committee passed a resolution to recommend that The Verkhovna Rada rejects the said Draft Resolution.
