The Bill (Reg. No. 0983) enhances legal provision of the field of improvement of the children's health and children´s recreation. Inter alia, it defines basic directions of the State policy in the field of improvement of the children's health and children´s recreation, secures guarantees and implementation of child´s rights in the field of organization of children´s recreation and health improvement.
The Bill takes into consideration the amendments regarding period of a child´s stay in a child welfare institution. It is envisaged that a child will be rendered recreation services for not less than 14 days, and recreation will be funded at the State budget expense. The said regulation pertains to the orphans and the children deprived of paternal care; the disabled children; the children who suffered from Chornobyl disaster; talented and skilled children: the winners of international and National olympiads, competitions, contests, festivals, sports and athletics meetings; the leaders of children public associations; the children who suffered from natural calamity, technical accidents, disasters.
Pursuant to the Bill, the specially authorized central executive body in charge of family matters, youth and sports is to organize the said recreation.
